That's pretty much why I said only Buffy's opinion mattered. IMO, by S7, for the most part, Willow was even more disposed to agreeing with Buffy and Xander was at his highest "Buffy knows what she's doing" time ever.
IMO, Spike would've gotten away with stuff from the Scoobs if they let him get away with stuff for Spike, because they felt Spike was worth it, and not because they let Buffy do their thinking for them.
As it was, what I saw on the screen, and this varies of course, was a group of people trusting Buffy's judgement.
